AbouT THE ARTIST
I grew up loving to draw and paint, and started taking painting lessons in high school. After pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Studio Art at Willamette University, I eventually pursued a teaching degree specializing in both Art and Special Education. I like to think of myself as a teacher by day and an artist by night, and in recent years I have created a series of lifelike paintings portraying “tablescapes”. While previous works of mine have explored social and political ideas, my more recent works have primarily served as a source of joy in my life. Living in a city like Portland for about 10 years, I am a big appreciator of food and its visual beauty!
